Fault codes P20EE, P204F, P229F? AdBlue light, no-start countdown, reduced power mode? Our technician comes to you with OBD scanner and compatible parts.
AdBlue is a 32.5% urea solution in demineralized water. Injected into the exhaust before the SCR catalyst (Selective Catalytic Reduction), it converts nitrogen oxides (NOx) — responsible for urban smog — into nitrogen (N₂) and water vapor (H₂O). This chemical reaction is mandatory since Euro 6 on modern diesel engines.
P20EE indicates insufficient SCR catalyst efficiency. The AdBlue system isn't neutralizing enough NOx. Causes: defective NOx sensor, AdBlue quality issue, crystallized SCR injector, or SCR heating problem. Not to be confused with P20E8 (low pressure).
This is the legal anti-fraud mechanism required by Euro 6: when an unresolved AdBlue fault is detected, a countdown of remaining starts is displayed (typically 1000 km, then 500, then 100). Once at zero, the engine refuses to start. Intervene before the last 100 km — beyond that, towing may be required.
Depends on the cause (identified via OBD): tank refill €40-€80, NOx sensor €250-€650 all-in, AdBlue injector €300-€700, temperature sensor €150-€300, tank replacement €400-€1000. SCR counter reset only (no parts): €80-€150.
No — this is illegal in Belgium and France. Software disabling ('AdBlue delete') violates Euro 6, results in serious penalties at vehicle inspection, and invalidates type approval. We only treat AdBlue faults through legal repair: OBD diagnostic, defective part replacement, official SCR counter reset.
On-site OBD diagnostic 60-90 min. Official parts and reset — never illegal software bypass.
